Atid, Kadima and USY at Beth El

Atid means “future” and these 1st – 3rd graders are indeed our future.  Atid gives our students the opportunity to explore the youth group experience through monthly activities.  Kadima means “forward” and  is our youth group for 4th – 6th graders and part of  national USY

Students in grades 1-8 who want to participate in youth group activities must have current forms on file.  All 1st – 8th grade students should fill out 2012-2013 Beth El Youth Group membership form.  In addition, students in grades 4 – 6 must fill out regional youth group forms as well.  Regional Youth Group Membership  Don’t forget to fill out youth group membership forms – there are NO youth group dues for students enrolled in Talmud Torah whose parents are Beth El members!

USY has two components – Jr USY for students in grades 7-8 and Sr USY for students in grades 9-12.  Sometimes local activities are for all members of USY, sometimes only for Jr USY or Sr USY.  Weekly Wednesday Lounges from 6:30-8:30 PM are for combined USY groups.  To participate in local, regional and national USY activities students must be members of the youth group.  .  All 7th – 12th grade students should fill out 2012-2013 Beth El Youth Group membership form and the  Regional Youth Group Membership forms.  There are NO youth group dues for students enrolled in Talmud Torah whose parents are Beth El members!

Rachel is a native of the Valley and graduated in May 2011 from ASU where she was a Tourism Development and Management major.  During high school Rachel worked as a Madrikha (Teaching Assistant) at Temple Beth Sholom in Chandler.  Prior to joining the teaching staff at Beth El Congregation, she taught first grade for two years at Temple Solel.  For the last thirteen years she has been occupying all her free time with tap, jazz and lyrical dance, and has performed worldwide.  Rachel is now in her fourth year at Beth El and our USY groups have really flourished under her guidance.
